Scheherzade is a passionate teacher of mindfulness-based mental fitness for well-being and inclusion to high performing leaders, teams and organizations. She is a certified teacher of the Google-born mindfulness and emotional intelligence leadership program from the Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute, and a trained teacher in Mindful Self-Compassion (University of California, San Diego). Her clients include many government departments, the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (Canada), Ottawa’s refugee serving sector and the private sector. Scheherzade has served as the Mindfulness and Well-being expert on the advisory group for the APEX (Association of Public Sector Executives) Leadership Symposium, where she trained hundreds of executives on mindfulness and compassion for leadership. She is a trained Economist and a former public servant with the Government of Canada. Scheherzade is committed to making mindfulness accessible and in this spirit she hosted Canada’s historic mass mindfulness meditation on Parliament Hill for the UN’s International Day of Peace (featured on the front page of the Globe and Mail).
